Getting to Know Me....

From the Window Seat

Hi. It's me - Sonnshine! I'm a single 48-year-old woman from North Dakota, USA. I'm quirky, fun, and love to laugh. But I also have a serious side.

It is because I am secure in my life with Jesus that I feel free to be a little wild sometimes. And I'm not your typical "blonde". After all, I do have some intelligence. [But I must admit, once in a while the blonde really does show!!]

In addition to all that, I'm also a romantic. I love to sit under the stars or next to a roaring fire [especially with the right man], take in the movies [sharing popcorn is fun], slow dance, eat out or cook a special dinner. What can I say? I'm just an old-fashioned romantic at heart. But look out - I also love to tease!!

In my search for Mr. Right, I've discovered a few things about him. I'm looking for a guy who has solid Christian morals and values, with God as the most important thing in his life. But not one of those somber Christians - this guy loves fun! He's not afraid to laugh at himself, likes practical jokes, sarcasm, and a little one-on-one [all within reason, of course]. After all, if I'm dishing it out, I sure better be willing to take some back!!

But I also want someone who knows his limits, someone who can be witty, charming, yet serious when needed; someone obviously in tune with himself and deeply devoted to our Lord and Savior Jesus; someone who knows how to be romantic, yet isn't afraid of some fun teasing.

Somewhere, I know you're out there. You can stop looking. I'm right here!!

My Home in Paradise

Well, living here in the cold and snow of winter, I often imagine that when I reach heaven, God will show me to my castle, and the weather will be so perfect. Lush, green grass, flowers trees will be over the area. It will be a mild 72 degrees Fahrenheit, with a cool spring breeze wafting the luscious aroma of nature's finest blossoms as I relax in my gazebo.

In my backyard, however, will be a winter chalet. Inside will be a roaring fire [told you I liked fires!!], some soft rugs, a cozy sofa with a warm fuzzy blanket. Outside will be lots of thick, fluffy snow, perfect for making snow angels, building forts, or even having a snowball fight. Of course, no one will be hurt. The weather, however, will be a temperate 50 degrees Fahrenheit, perfect for enjoying the snow. And the ice? The only trace will be a skating rink, and it will be slip-proof.

The way I see it, God says He gives us the desires of our hearts. That's the desire of my heart, so I don't see why it can't happen!!
